| | About This Act : | In a short amount of time, DJ C-Bu has climbed the ranks of the Sydney club scene like no other DJ before him. From his humble beginnings in the back room of UN Nightclub in late
2005 to playing main sets in front of hundreds and thousands of clubbers at some of Sydney\\\'s hottest clubs on a weekly basis, he is without a doubt one of Sydney\\\'s hottest commodities amongst promoters and one of the most in-demand.
Always one to break in brand new tracks before other DJs and being a \\\"teacher\\\" for the crowd, C-Bu prides himself with always being able to read the crowd and knowing what to play next. Arriving with a new trick up his sleeve each time he steps up to the one’s and two’s, his raw ability has grabbed the attention of every single guy and girl that has heard him play, either it be while dancing on packed dancefloors or chilling at the bar. This reputation he has built has seen him take his skills out of Sydney to the hottest clubs in Melbourne, Gold Coast,
and even overseas to Indonesia.
Looking to explore all that there is for him in the world of DJing, C-Bu has expanded his repertoire to include more genres of music. He has picked up an old love and taken to the world of electro and electro house and has immediately made an impact in that market. C-Bu now juggles his R&B and hip hop gigs with his electro house gigs, so that now each set is definitely different from the last. Add to that his new love of Baltimore and Baile funk, along with his other specialities in crunk and reggaeton, and you get one of the most versatile and musically diverse DJs to ever hit the club scene of Sydney. This versatility has made C-Bu realize what he wants to do with the world of turntablism and clubtablism: “I just want to be recognized as one of the best club and party rockers there is, regardless of genres, I just want to play party rocking beats that make sure the club is jumping from start to finish – I want people to be excited to hear what I have up my sleeve.”
This has definitely grabbed the attention of many people – C-Bu has been picked up by R&B artist Israel, who has recently been making waves in the United States and has chosen C-Bu to back him up on national and international tours. Another local artist, Figg Kidd, has also recognized this talent and now C-Bu alternates with local legend, DJ Eko, as Figg Kidd’s concert DJ. Even dance crews competing at high levels have approached C-Bu to put his touch on their performance tracks. With his sights set on future battle competition and music production, C-Bu’s growing resume will continue to grow and, as the saying goes, the sky is the limit for this talented musician. |
