JSF '09 Special Show: The Ting Tings

Axis Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival 2009 will be held in a matter of days. One of the most awaited pieces of information constantly inquired by Jakarta's music enthusiasts was: "Who will be performing at the SPECIAL SHOW?" Earlier this week, Java Festival Production received fantastic news from the management of a group worshipped by young people from all over the world (including Indonesia), The Ting Tings. It has been confirmed that the band will be gracing the stage of the second edition of Axis Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival, to take place at Istora Senayan Jakarta, scheduled for 30 and 31 October 2009.

Hailing from the UK, The Ting Tings comprise of Jules De Martino (on drums, guitar, vocals and piano) and Kate White (vocals, guitar, bass drums and bass guitar). Established in December 2007, the band's debut album "We Started Nothing" was released on 19 May 2008 and broke out hits such as "That's Not My Name", "Great DJ" and "Shut Up and Let Me Go". Due to their formidable musicianship and attention-winning stage antics, they have often been nominated for various awards. The Ting Tings have also won awards such as "Best UK Video" for "Shut Up and Let Me Go" at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, "Xfm Live Breakthrough Act" at Vodafone Live Music Awards 2008, and "Festival Pop Act", "Best Newcomer Awards", "Anthem of the Summer" at the UK Festival Awards 2008. This 2009, they won the "Ivor Novello Awards 2009" and "Border Breakers Award". Since the news broke via the festival's website and social networks Twitter (JavaFestPro) and Facebook, Java Festival Production has been receiving a heavy flow of enthusiastic responses. It's great to have The Ting Tings in Jakarta for Java Soulnation Festival 2009!

The Ting Tings, of course, is not the only performances worth highlighting at Axis Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival 2009. Due to also dazzle are Arrested Development, Tortured Soul, Filipino group Corporate Lo-Fi, Musiq Soulchild, Jessica Mauboy feat. IZ, Pandji, Tangga, Pesta Rap Reunion, RAN, Boogiemen, Crystal Opera, Ras Muhamad, Neo, Joeniar Arief, Aditya, Bondan Prakoso & Fade2Black and many more. Moreover, Java Festival Production, in collaboration with Indonesia Unite and Green Music Foundation, is preparing special project, "Indonesia Unite Project".
