Reggae and Neo Soul music are somewhat two different genres yet attached when it comes down to the history, and generally, similarity of the touch-feel groove, sensitivity and deepness of the soul. However, when confronted to mixing both of the genres, some talents have touched the surface, buy yet go entirely deep and embrace this concept. To fill the void is somehow what RON is offering, a vocalist and the band with the unique deliverance of connecting Reggae and Neo Soul into what he calls Reggae Nu Soul. His references are vast, from the old school acts - Robert Nesta Marley, Duke Ellington, Billie Holliday, Horace Andy, Al Green, Isley Brothers, Prince, Duran Duran, etc. to the nowadays – the Marley brothers, Ben Harper, De La Soul, J-Dilla, The Neptunes, The Roots, Jamaal Hartwell, Boonie Mayfield, and plenty others. Rarely or possibly none, we hear reggae music juiced up with neo soul and respectively, neo soul music with reggae flavor. This distinction is what separates RON\'s concept to the others, and interestingly, the sound of RON may result to as a relieve to many of the enthusiasts anywhere in the world, who are eager for a new fresh sound, a something that is a breath of fresh air. We are hopeful that this new crossover will be accepted by the market, both domestic and globally. RON - \"We\'re de Kings & Queens\" released party was held at Portico Senayan City Jakarta Selatan on 23 May 2012. RON – \"We\'re de Kings & Queens\" now available in stores.
